Cellate is a modern construction method that is a logical progression from traditional pre-cast, into a system that better suits today’s building requirements.
The Cellate system is a patented system that has been in use for over 25 years, and has been used for a wide variety of buildings from simple one story houses to 40 story office blocks. Cellate has built a number of projects using this system ranging from low cost housing to tower blocks. A selection of projects is shown under the projects page.

The system uses steel fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) with the fiber being enlarged end steel fibers to create strength and durability. The use of FRC therefore removes the requirement for standard steel reinforcing bars to be used which speeds up construction. The panel core provides a thermal barrier that reduces heating or cooling costs depending on the prevailing climate at the construction location.

The resultant panel has the following

The production facilities required to produce Cellate concrete panels are very similar to those used in a standard pre-cast yard. Many existing pre-cast yards would be capable of producing Cellate products without any major changes
